MEET THE CHEF/OWNER: Eric Baker
Executive Chef Eric Baker is known for his innovative dishes made with locally sourced products with a global influence. Chef Baker has now returned to Boca with the purchase of Rebel House at 297 E Palmetto Park Rd, after building and opening Mazies in West Palm Beach, a restaurant named after his grandmother.
Previously, Chef Baker served as the Executive Chef of Max’s Harvest in Delray Beach for four years and before that he was the opening Executive Chef at the Buckhead Restaurant Group & Lobster Bar Sea Grille in Fort Lauderdale. Before that, Baker was the Executive Sous Chef at the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale and Steak 954, both Starr Restaurant Group establishments. He also held a
sous chef position at Chops Lobster Bar in Boca Raton and a position at Cafe Boulud at the Brazilian Court in Palm Beach for four years.
Chef Baker has also served as Chef de Partie at Restaurant Market in Paris, a restaurant of Jean-Georges Vongerichten and served in the kitchen at the two Michelin star LEspadon, Ritz Hotel Paris,and the Louis XVI in Patchogue, New York. Baker graduated from Indiana University and attended culinary school at Ecole Escoffier in Paris.
The Wine Room Kitchen & Bar has over 2,000 unique wines, 100+ artisanal cheeses and charcuterie from around the globe, and an eclectic menu.
